The Support Role

Who are they?

The Support Role refers to colleagues who work in an office environment, but do not have team leadership responsibility. It’s important to note that they shouldn’t just be thought of as admin roles, however. They are experts in what they do.

What does ‘for a sustainable future’ mean for them?

The motivations of non-management do vary from employee to employee. Some have aspirations to move into leadership roles, while others are happy to remain in supporting roles In both cases, however, they want to be taken seriously and treated fairly. They take great pride when they feel like their contribution is making a difference to the success of a project and the organisation. They want to make the most of their time at work and at home.
