The implementation of the Concept allows for an international consistent trade show appearance regardless of the size of the stand and at the same time offers defined rooms and platforms for different orientation, presentation and communication needs. Along with economic and logistic considerations, the objectives represented below play a fundamental role in the provision of the trade show concept.

- Clear structure of the stand and efficient use of a uniform system for the construction of the stand
- Suitable deployment of the Group's brand on all the relevant stand construction elements and materials
Since a concrete understanding of the listed factors – as well as their implementation and their weighting – has a significant impact on the planning and realization of a trade show stand, these are explained in more detail as follows.
Making Umicore perceptible

The trade show concept offers a defined zone model for the structuring of the trade show stand, system-based stand construction elements as well as individual solutions described by way of example, which:
- Create an attractive approach to the trade show stand and orient and attract visitors
- Enable a high-quality and inspiring presentation of Umicore products, technologies and solutions (present & fascinate)
- Offer an appropriate atmosphere for communication and hospitality (communicate & feel comfortable)
Construction zone model

Visitors look for quick orientation or an engaging contact person, they want to experience the business fully or are merely interested in partial aspects of an application or a product. They need suitable places for comfort or for further discussions.
In order to concentrate on the basic needs of the visitor and of the business, the trade show concept creates defined stand areas. The layout and the weighting of their interaction can vary.
Single zones may slightly overlap the concrete application; however totally mixing or eliminating single zones should be avoided.
- Orientation zone with relevant stand construction elements for remote effect, orientation and attracting visitors
- Presentation zone with relevant stand construction elements for the presentation of products and applications as well as in-depth product information
- Communication zone with relevant stand construction elements for communication and hospitality
- Infrastructure zone for the implementation of individual architectural solutions and usage of wall surfaces for the support of remote effect elements and marketing messages: placement in the infrastructure area of conference rooms, technology, storage etc.

Colors and materials
Within the trade show concept, the main Umicore colors white, green and blue are the dominant colors. By using different color carriers (paper, MDF, textile, acrylic) possible color variations should be tested in advance and reduced to a minimum.
The secondary colors and all grey shades are to be used sparingly. Black and dark grey (UMICORE Copy Grey) are only used as a font color.
In general, a high-quality and technically precise execution is absolutely necessary for the stand construction and during selection and usage of raw materials, other materials and surface coatings.

Look & feel
Rigorous implementation of the principles embedded in the trade show concept produces a coherent and unique image, regardless of the location, size and weighting of contents of the trade show stand.
